On October 7th Ed Ferrier, president of Precision Laser Services, has been asked to speak at the Anthony Wayne chapter of Rotary International. Mr Ferrier will share about the naming of PLSMFG to the 2009 INC5000 and its experience as the oldest laser job shop in the US.
Precision Laser Services awarded a $9,990,000 US Navy contract

Precision Laser Services was awarded, along with three others, a fixed-price, IDIQ multiple award contract for multi-storage weapons racks, GAU-16 racks, and 72″ GAU-16 racks to properly store weapons in armories. Precision Laser Services awarded a $14,000,000 US Navy contract

H-60 with the M-240 System
Precision Laser Services, Inc., Fort Wayne, Ind. and four others are being awarded firm-fixed price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite -quantity multiple award contract with a maximum value of $14,000,000.00. The aforementioned contract awardees will compete for delivery orders for various types of gun-mount components. MH-60 Sierra, MH-60 Romeo, and V-22 gun mount components along with bore sight kits are being procured to be implemented in various combat situations. The multiple gun mounts will be used to support a wide array of military personnel as well as branches. This contract was competitively procured via the Navy Electronic Commerce Online and Federal Business Opportunities websites, with 14 proposals being received. Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division, Crane, Indiana, is the contracting activity.
